1. Don't Be Authentic by @wittlake →

This post really struck a chord with me. I agree in full. Doing well in social isn’t all about full disclosure. If you write a funny blog for instance, you have to be funny. Everything else must be really relevant not to dilute the long-term message.

I’ve been active on the web for a pretty long time now, and I’ve never had to spill my guts or flaunt my flaws. I can do it, but I’ve never really seen the point. It’s important to be human for sure, but that doesn’t mean that using your platform for your own therapy is the best strategy for business.

  2. 10 ways to be a dream PR intern →

This is a really good list. Especially #1. If you’re an intern, you don’t leave the office before I do, simple as that.

  3. The Muppets Attack Fox News - YouTube →

You can always count on Miss Piggy telling it like it is.

  10. Spotify's Daniel Ek: The Most Important Man In Music →

Making the cover of Forbes, wow. But he sure as hell deserves some recognition. I remember when people where almost aggressive about how little they believed in a concept like Spotify.

But I have to admit, that I by reading this wonder why I’m not taking bigger risks myself? You only live once, right?

  11. It Is Time To Stop Pretending To Endorse The Copyright Monopoly →

Rick Falkvinge’s first article on TechDirt. I know there are some people in the Pirate movement who has things to say about Rick’s lack of people skills and that his sudden urges to oppose paradigms sometimes conflicts with long-term policy and strategy, but for one am a sucker for people who thinks for themselves and speak their minds with clarity such as this:

“I reject and oppose this monopoly that was never for the creators, but always for the distributors: a guild whose time is up and obsolete, and which has no business trampling on our civil liberties.”

  13. 6 email mistakes you should never make →

Blah, blah, blah. I say fuck no, I disagree. I would love to get a long, chit-chatty, utterly pointless and babble rabble email from Mark Zuckerberg or Gary Vaynerchuck. But from an idiot, I don’t particularly like getting even one sentence.

And even though I’m no Zuckerberg or Vaynerchuck—if you get a long email from me (it happens extremely rarely, you should be glad that I care enough from a social standpoint to share some incoherent thoughts with you. I do believe I have a lot to offer in the long run, so this is what I think.

  14. 20 New Year’s Resolutions For 20-Somethings « Thought Catalog →
